Odds & Ends

Odds and Ends was a sewing workshop designed to address the issues of waste and poverty using a sustainable and humanitarian approach. I worked with a local furniture design company to obtain leftover fabric that would otherwise have been discarded. With donated sewing machines, I taught homeless women at the Newark, NJ YMCA to use the fabric to sew bags and pillows, which they had identified as their greatest needs.
